Influential factors and control technology of rockburst in coal mine gob-side entry driving under the influence of goaf

  • To address the prominent risk of rockburst under the influence of mined-out areas in coal mine excavation roadways along goaf, this study takes the 4401 return airway of Changwu Tingnan Coal Mine in Shaanxi Province as an engineering case. The research identifies core factors influencing rockburst in this roadway and proposes a scientifically feasible prevention and control plan to ensure safe and efficient mine excavation. A 3D model with dimensions of 2700×800×50 m was constructed using numerical simulation. By combining 15.08 MPa overlying rock layer equivalent loading with on-site monitoring, the study systematically analyzed the evolution patterns of roadway surrounding rock stress distribution under lateral support pressure in mined-out areas, and verified the effectiveness of the prevention and control plan. Numerical simulations revealed that as excavation length increased, the concentration of surrounding rock stress significantly intensified (approximately 22 MPa at 520 m, peaking at 26 MPa after 720 m), with the 30-40 m lateral zone of mined-out areas being a stress elevation area. After implementing the "combined support of anchor mesh cables + headway coal body blasting for pressure relief" plan, surface subsidence stabilized within 10 days, stress concentration was markedly alleviated, and rockburst incidents occurred significantly less frequently. Lateral support pressure in mined-out areas is the primary cause of rockbursts during 4401 return airway's excavation along goaf. The proposed integrated prevention and control plan effectively maintains surrounding rock stability, providing theoretical basis and engineering reference for rockburst prevention in similar conditions of excavation-along-goaf roadways.
