Analysis of roof collapse causes and support optimization in the entry of coal mine in Jincheng mining area

After excavation, roof separation and collapse occurred in the 53092 roadway of the No.3 coal seam in a coal mine in Jincheng mining area.Through analysis of roof support parameters, borehole inspection, on-site geological conditions, and numerical simulation near the collapse area, it was found that vertical stress in the roadway was concentrated within 2 meters above the roof of the coal seam near the axis of the syncline.It can be concluded that tectonic stress is the primary cause of the roof collapse at this location.Targeted measures such as reinforcement support, frame installation, and sealing were proposed to address the collapse area, achieving effective control.
