Abstract:
Addressing the technical bottleneck that the single architecture of traditional mine networks struggles to balance coverage and real-time performance, and fails to meet the communication requirements of intelligent mines for high bandwidth, low latency, and easy maintenance, this study tackles core issues such as low data transmission efficiency, insufficient edge-side computing power, and high operation and maintenance costs in mines. By deeply integrating F5G passive optical network technology with 5G low-latency wireless coverage technology, a “core transmission – wireless access – edge computing” integrated communication network is constructed. An edge computing gateway integrating an F5G-ORE module is developed with embedded edge computing capabilities, and integrated functional modules for collection, analysis, processing, and control are designed, adopting a hierarchical data upload strategy and a dual local-cloud control system. The effectiveness of the solution is verified through laboratory performance tests and field test applications at Daning Coal Mine. The integrated network achieves stable ring networking with 10 Gbps bandwidth at the terminal side. Relying on the powerful computing power of the domestically produced RK3568 chip, the edge computing gateway efficiently completes local data collection and processing, significantly enhancing edge computing capabilities so that core data processing does not need to depend on the cloud. The F5G+5G integrated communication network and edge computing gateway build an integrated “transmission–computing” support system, effectively overcoming the difficulty of integrating traditional optical communication with edge computing, and providing an innovative solution for intelligent mine communication and edge data analysis and processing.
