Abstract:
Frequent floor water inrush incidents occurred during mining at Xin’an Coal Mine, seriously affecting safe production and operational efficiency. An in-depth analysis of the causes was first conducted from the perspectives of hydrogeological conditions, coal seam structure, and mining technology. Subsequently, numerical simulation was used to investigate the shear stress and deformation patterns of concealed faults in the floor, and prevention and control measures such as transient electromagnetic (TEM) advance detection and floor grouting reinforcement were proposed. The results show that faults tend to form groundwater accumulation pathways and are the main cause of water inrush accidents. By integrating these advanced prevention and control techniques, the frequency of floor water inrush events can be significantly reduced, thereby enhancing mine safety and economic returns and providing effective technical support for the sustainable development of Xin’an Coal Mine.
