Abstract:
In response to the problem that the air leakage of old roadways in the repeated mining face aggravates the expansion of the oxidation zone in the goaf and the risk of coal spontaneous combustion, we study the influence of different old roadway layouts ( parallel, inclined and staggered) on the oxygen distribution and safety of the goaf through numerical simulation. The results show that the air leakage of old roadways significantly increases the oxygen concentration in the goaf and expands the range of the oxidation zone (the width increases by more than 40%). Especially when the old roadway is far away from the working face, the oxidation zone extends to the deep part of the goaf, and the spontaneous combustion danger area increases greatly. Among them, the inclined and staggered arrangement of the old roadway has a greater impact, and the width of the oxidation zone on the inlet/return air side can be extended to more than 300 m. Therefore, it is necessary to block the air leakage channel of old roadways in order to control the width of the oxidation zone and ensure safe production.
